Sweet Little Girls

Yesterday I photographed an infant who is now 3 weeks old. If you scroll down in my blog, you will see her when she was 3 days old, too. The goal was to get some group shots of the girls together that we didn't get a few weeks ago. So I am greeted by Autumn who is so excited that I have some treats for her, and loves the fact that they are a 'secret' till she smiles for me and takes pictures with her baby sister. Then she tells me she's having a birthday soon. "Sing happy birthday to me, Desiree", she says... So after I sing happy birthday to her, I hear,"oh thank you, Desiree" as she gives me the biggest hug. So needless to say yesterday's photo session was wonderful which was topped off by a big hug and kiss from Autumn just before I left. She is just so sweet and cute. Here are some pics from our mini session yesterday....

Oh, I just love you daddy!

For I know the plans I have for you....

DeQuestin and his family go to the same church I go to, and his grandmother contacted me asking me if I could do his senior pictures.
Talk about bringing back memories! We are not going to say how long ago it has been since I graduated highschool, but photographing DeQuestin the other day sure did bring me back. As much as I would like to be just out of highschool again, I am so excited about where God has me now. He has a plan for all of us, no matter what stage of life we are in.

Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

We need to remember to lift up our children in prayer everyday and remember that God has a plan for thier life.

After the rain

I love flowers..and I have wanted to photograph roses with water droplets on them for awhile... The other day after it rained, it worked out perfectly and I was able to take a picture of this rose in my front yard. It reminded me of a scripture where God speaks about the lilies and says that not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these. God takes care of everything, even these flowers if we let HIm. If He will take care of these flowers, and He loves us so much more then the flowers, then HE will take care of our every need as well..but we have to allow Him to do that, and worrying about things and stuff isn't allowing Him to take care of us because our worry and fear gets in the way.

Mathew 6:28 And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow? They do not labor or spin.

It's so easy to worry about everything that goes on around us, but when it all comes down to it, God is control and He will take care of us if we let Him. I am so thankful it's His responsibility to take care of me :)

Joshua is graduating kindergarten!

Our little man is graduating kindergaten. He has had an amazing year at the Education Center in Little Elm. His teacher is Mrs. Tucker and she is awesome! She is such a blessing to our family. I can't believe how well Joshua has done.
When he started the school year he could barely sit still for any lenth of time, and he couldn't write. By October he was writing! And..he was able to sit in his chair and do his work. He takes his responsibilities at school very seriously, too.
It's been amazing to see him grow and change. With Joshua being on the autism spectrum, we knew he needed an amazing teacher, and God blessed us richly with Mrs. Tucker.
I took some pics of him and his teacher. I will never forget her. I remember being little and loving the teachers I had. I have been so involved with Joshua and his kindergarten year, that I love his teacher as much as he does!

Karate

I just signed up Joshua for Karate at Empower Acadamy here in Friso/Little Elm. I had heard it would be a good therepy for autism. Joshua loves it! He looks forward to it, he is excited about it, and he listens to his instructors. Jill is awesome. She's very patient with Joshua and he is excited about his responsibility chart and takes it seriously. I am so excited about this. There are other katate places we could have chosen, but Empower Acadamy was the one I had such a peace about it. It seemed to be the perfect fit for our family.

All Smiles

Today, I just happned to be at Empower Acadamy taking Joshua to Karate class. I sit down to watch him, and I look over to my left and there is the cutest little bald baby girl! She was smiling soooooo HUGE. I couldn't believe it. I got tickled just looking at her. She wouldn't stop smiling. She kept smiling almost the entire time I was there. So, I decided I just had to meet her mom because this little baby was just too cute! Well wouldn't you know that I just happened to have my camera with me because I had photographed at the Dallas Arboreteum today. I just had to have a picture of her HUGE smile on my blog. So here she is...she was so much fun to photograph..I can't wait to photograph her again. I captured her serious look as well, she's so cute that all her 'looks' are precious..

A New Arrival

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph this little angel baby when she was 3 days old! Her mom had said last year if she ever got pregnant again I was going to be coming over the day they came home from the hospital. I was so excited to photograph her. It's hard to remember that all babies are so little and fragile. Once they start screaming and running, you tend to forget how little they were. She is so cute, too... I love the smell of baby soft skin, and how they curl up and just love to snuggle..really makes me want another one.

Cutest little girl in a TUTU!!

These were 1 year pictures. Her mom bought the TU-TU especially for this photo session. We went to the park and did some pictures there, but the real fun began when we went back to her house. We got pictures of the biggest smiles, and of course with her dog 'Zoe'. Zoe is sooooooooo cute. She's an absolute sweetie-pie..
Here are some of my favorite pictures...it was hard narrowing it down to the ones I wanted to put on my blog:)I just LOVE the colors in these pictures.

Geaux Tigers!!

These little ones are from my home state of Louisiana! And they are die-hard LSU TIGER fans! I couldn't help but notice Wendi's accent when she talked to me on the phone, so I just had to ask if she was from Louisiana, and sure enough she was. It was fun photographing them, too. Their little boy sure did keep me on my toes!

Happy Birthday Morgan!!!!

We had an Hawaiian party for Morgan's 9th BD..
I love all the colors..and we had a great time..
here are some pics from that party. I made a thank you
card with several of them on it that I wanted to share.
For each child that gave Morgan a gift, I changed out one of the pictures in the
card for a picture of Morgan and that little girl with the gift was given, so that each child got a personalized card.
